Michael's On East
Founded on April 27, 1987, Michael’s On East is currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary. The celebrated restaurant takes fine dining to another level, offering award-winning cuisine and outstanding service, in an exceptional 1940s supper club atmosphere. 

Michael's On East was one of only ten restaurants in the nation to be inducted into the 2009 Nation's Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame, considered the Oscars of the restaurant industry. The restaurant recently received their 23rd consecutive AAA Four-Diamond Award. In February 2012, U.S. Airways Magazine selected Michael’s On East as an East Coast Icon, in good company with The ‘21’ Club & Lounge in New York City.

Catering and Ballroom
Michael’s On East Catering is Sarasota’s premiere caterer creating memorable events from candlelit dinners for two to dazzling galas for 1,000 guests held at any venue. The Michael’s On East Ballroom in Midtown Plaza can host up to 500 guests for a seated event or 1,000 for a reception. The Ballroom is easily partitioned for smaller, more intimate gatherings. The stunning glassed-covered garden atrium space works beautifully for cocktail receptions. Michael’s is happy to accommodate your client’s audio/visual needs, including projection screen and microphone, as well as Wi-Fi capabilities. Michael's is also proud to be the exclusive caterer for Bay Preserve at Osprey, elegant and historical waterfront "Old Florida" venues. The Rental Program at Bay Preserve was made possible through a grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Inc., provided by the BOOST Initiative Fund.    

Michael’s Wine Cellar
The newest addition to the Michael's family is the hip, urban Michael’s Wine Cellar which hosts more than 1,000 International estate-bottled wines. Please remember Michael’s Wine Cellar also offers premium & boutique spirits, imported & craft beers and more than 200 boutique wines under $20. Open Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm. The wine store can be transformed into a magical space perfect for any type of special event, including luncheons or dinners up to 50 guests and up to 125 guest for receptions. The space is very popular for rehersal dinners. An outdoor covered patio with wrought iron tables and chairs is adjacent to Michael’s Wine Cellar.  

Michael’s On East Restaurant
Located at 1212 East Avenue South in Midtown Plaza, the iconic fine dining restaurant is open for lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, open for dinner 6 p.m. to close Monday through Thursday and 5:30 p.m. to close on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, with the exception of Easter and Mother's Day each year.  The restaurant’s Private Dining Room can accommodate up to 48 guests.
