To jump start its winemaker dinner series, Cork is hosting established, highly talented, and personally engaging Hook & Ladder winemaker Michael De Loach for a four-course paired menu. The De Loach family wine-making history reaches back more than thirty years, second generation winemaker Michael De Loach following his father's production of cool climate varietal wines under the family label up until 2005. A showcase for the finest fruit produced in their vineyards, Hook & Ladder is truly a family production, third generation Jason De Loach now heading the winemaking efforts, Sarah De Loach commandeering sales, and Joshua De Loach acting as Hook & Ladder Chef and Public Relations Director. Situated in the cool climate of Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, Hook & Ladder excels in creating brightly flavorful, vibrant wines that marry beautifully with food. Cork's wine specialist Rebecca Robinson raves over DeLoach's nuanced pinot noirs and the fruit expression embodied by his white and red blends.
