Carmen, Opera’s most famous femme fatale, is desired by many but only she will choose whom she loves. Georges Bizet’s masterpiece tells the electrifying story of the gypsy Carmen and how she uses the infatuation of an entranced soldier, Don José, for her own gain resulting in jealousy and murder. We dare you to resist Carmen’s seductive powers in this new production conceived especially for Sarasota Opera.
