Gulf Beach Resort Motel: Lido Key's First Hotel

The Gulf Beach Resort Motel has been on Lido Key since the 1950s, making it the oldest hotel on the island. Learn more about the resort in our video!

Gulf Beach Resort Motel is the oldest hotel on Lido Key. Now, the motel offers vacation rental condos individually owned and decorated. Totalling 49 united, the motel features shuffleboard, a pool, tiki huts, and the ultimate amenity, a private beach area just for guests overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

"This was the first place we came … before we left we purchased our unit," Vickie Henriksen, a 14-year Gulf Beach Resort Motel condo owner says. "We feel in love, actually, is what happened."

Henriksen says the motel is great not only because of the seaside views, but also the ability to walk from the motel to St. Armands.

"People come back and say I feel like I’m coming back home," Ronell (Ronni) Jones, a 30-year condo owner says. "Our staff helps contribute to that atmosphere."
