Explore Area Beaches & Check In

The Beach Pass includes 20 of our favorite public beaches. And while we take pride in our most acclaimed and celebrated beaches, like Siesta Key Beach, there are a number of lesser-known and off-the-beaten-path beaches that are just as wonderful!

You can utilize our curated list of participating beaches or map function to explore the various checkpoints. If you wish to start tracking your beach stops to earn points and win prizes, you'll want to enable your location services in order to "check in" and create a virtual passport.

Earn Points, Redeem Prizes

If a location has a point value associated, you will see that when you click on the venue's page. You can earn points as you validate your visit at a location via GPS or PIN verification.

To redeem your prize, head to the Rewards tab to see your available prizes. Each point has a value associated with it. Once you earn the required amount of points to collect a prize, you will be able to click the "Claim Now" button for that prize. After claiming a prize, that amount of points will be deducted from your earned total.

Each check-in is worth 10 points and by checking in to one beach, you are already eligible for coupons at area restaurants. At 40 points, you are eligible to earn a Sarasota swag bag and at 100 points, you'll receive an exclusive Sarasota Beach Pass Ambassador prize: a custom-designed Tervis Tumbler water bottle. *While supplies last*

Prizes can be picked up at our Downtown Sarasota Visitor Center.

FAQ

Q: Is this an app?

A: Our passes look and feel like an app, but are actually mobile-optimized websites that are immediately delivered to your phone after signing up or purchasing. Your pass will also update in real-time if an update is made, eliminating the need to update your pass through the App or Google Play store.

Q: How do I know when I can use my pass?

A: The pass can be used 365 days a year.

Q: I'm not able to check in at a location, either by PIN or GPS Validation. How can I get credit for this visit?

A: Manual check-ins can be applied by contacting the support team. The team typically requests a picture taken at the location and the date of your visit to validate a manual check-in. (Please note: visits made prior to ordering the pass are not eligible for a manual check-in.)

Q: When do my points expire?

A: Point expirations vary by pass, and are shown on the Rewards tab. You will have until that date to use your points to redeem prizes.

Q: Is there a paper version of the pass I can use?

A: Our passes are digital only and require a mobile phone to access. Therefore, they are not offered in printed or physical formats.

Q: Do other people need to sign up for their own pass or can we all use mine?

A: Each pass is associated with an individual until the pass' expiration date. An active pass is accessed by typing in your individual email address. If you have friends who want to participate, you can encourage them to sign up for the pass themselves. Then, you can all visit locations, earn points and redeem prizes together as you check in on your own passport.
