2013 New Year's Eve Celebrations in Sarasota County

Celebrate the end of 2013 in style with this year's New Year events. Don't miss the downtown Sarasota festivities, which gear up at 2 p.m. and don't stop until 1 a.m. Tens of thousands of people will attend the celebration, which includes the ever-popular Pineapple Drop, as well as live music, children's rides and midway games.

Other New Year's Eve festivities include local celebrity Beneva Fuitville at the Sarasota Players Theatre for an evening of games and entertainment, or go nautical with Marina Jack as it cruises into the new year.

New Year's Eve - Downtown Sarasota

About: Beneva Fruitville, local celebrity and impresario will host a playful evening of games and entertainment. Adult content & language.

"Worlds New Year's Celebration" Cooking Class

Where: Publix Aprons Cooking School
About: This class includes Champagne Tempura Lobster with Sweet Soy Aioli, Indian-Spiced Duck with Mango Pickle, Seared Rib-eye with Duck Fat Fried Potatoes and Beurre Rouge, and Apple Tart with Thyme and Cheddar Crust. 

Marina Jack II New Year's Eve Celebration Cruise

About: A special four-hour cruise will begin boarding at 8 p.m. The cruise will feature a live band, party favors, champagne toast at midnight and elaborate buffet featuring beef tenderloin, lump crab cakes and special dessert offerings.
